FAIR OAKS, CA (MPG) - Tickets are on sale for the 29th annual Taste of Fair Oaks, which is the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce’s largest fundraiser of the year that helps support the community. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank.

The annual Taste of Fair Oaks is from 6 to 9:30 p.m. May 17 at the North Ridge Country Club.

“Taste of Fair Oaks has been raising money for local nonprofits for 30 years,” said Fair Oaks Chamber President/CEO Kimberley Pitillo. “The food bank has been a member and community partner with us over the years. We’re proud to be able to support them and all they do to help families in need in our communities.”

Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank Director Andrea Scollay shared her appreciation of the support received from the chamber and others.

“The money raised through Taste of Fair Oaks will be used to help us with infrastructure improvements, including a new lift gate for our truck, asphalt improvements for safety, and purchasing food when we’re out or low on staple items,” Scollay said.

The food bank relies on the community to keep it running through food and cash donations and through volunteering. Visit its website at www.ovfofb.org for more information.
