To help, award-winning author, radio talk show host and mom Maria Bailey offers tips and advice on how to get yourself and your child off to a successful start this school year: --Shop early: Vacation is a good time to inventory what supplies you already have at home, make a list of what each child needs and start looking for the best deals. "Many stores offer bargains on school supplies during the summer months, so getting an early start can add up to savings," said Bailey.
