Bright Way To Stay Safe
Lighting up your address could help protect your family.
(NAPSA)-If you need help fast-whether from the police, firefighters or EMTs-the
last thing you want is for them to drive past your house because they couldn't
read your address at night. And yet we know it happens, with the results
sometimes not being pretty.
"There've been plenty of nighttime calls where being able to find a house
quickly has made all the difference," says volunteer ambulance driver A.G.
Nelson, whose territory covers northern New Jersey.
Experts say the key is to light up a home's address with a product like the
Guiding Light for your Mailbox, a solar-powered saddle that fits over the top of
a mailbox and illuminates your house numbers. Using it makes addresses visible
up to 50
Designed to withstand frigid Northeast winters and harsh Southwest summers, the
light's solar power makes it very much eco-friendly. To order or to learn more,

Rub-A-Dub-Dub: More Than One Million Tubs, Redone
Workers spell out their company name celebrating 25 years of easy, inexpensive bathroom remodels.
(NAPSA)-To avoid taking a bath in the housing market, real estate experts offer homeowners this advice: It may pay to fix up your bathroom. That's because a bathroom remodel can be a relatively simple way to help increase the value of your house. However, according to a recent Harris Interactive survey, two in three homeowners say cost prevents them from doing so.
Tub Troubles Tamed
Oddly enough, it was just such an obstacle that led to an easy answer. When Brian Cotton found it difficult to remove a bathtub from his home, he ended up chaining the thing to the back of his car. His wife gunned the engine and eventually pulled the tub out of the house...through a wall. Standing among floating dust, pieces of drywall and shards of tile, Cotton came up with an idea: molded, customized bathtub liners that can be installed in one day and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional remodel.
In the 25 years since that day, Brian Cotton's company-Bath Fitter-has redone more than one million bathtubs-without having to remove them-through a network of franchised and company-owned locations across North America. Today, the company is known for beautiful bathroom renovations that save money, time and aggravation.
Worth A Celebration
To mark its 25th anniversary, nearly 1,000 of the company's employees recently donned white T-shirts and stood on freshly painted, strategically placed orange dots in the firm's parking lot. The result of their efforts-a giant human version of the company's logo-was photographed from the sky by an aerial photographer perched in a hovering helicopter.
The planning behind this celebratory stunt was elaborate and included the creation of a Godzilla-sized template and five hours of spray painting to get each spot just right. Meanwhile, guests attending the anniversary party-including hundreds of employees and their families-started the day off with a tour of the plant and an up-close look at the manufacturing process. Other festivities included photos taken in a tub and bathtub go-karts.
Today, the company offers a variety of services and products, including bathroom remodeling, bathroom renovation, bathtub refinishing and bathtub restoration.
