The Arts and Business Meet Up!

Jun 14, 2016 12:00AM ● By By Susan Dakuzaku

You may have heard that “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.  Aristotle said that a long time ago and it still holds true today. Alliances can create a positive ripple effect that will be a Win-Win-Win for everyone and far more impactful than the efforts of any one. That's why the Community Arts Alliance was formed.

Their goal is to bring the Art and Business worlds together to benefit the Community. How does that work? (you might ask) There are some examples posted on their website and expect more success stories posted in the future.

Meantime, you are invited to the second Art-Business mixer at the ACAI Studios & Gallery at the corner of San Juan & Winding Way in Fair Oaks. If you haven't been there, you are not alone. This is one of the objectives of the Alliance: to bring attention to little known resources for art, business, and inspiration. The mixer is June 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. There will be refreshments, a raffle, scavenger hunt and exciting announcements from the Alliance. It's free to attend.

Visit TheArtsStartHere.com for details and more information. Sign up for updates on upcoming mixers, events and workshops that will be offered. If you are an artist, a business professional, or a community advocate we need YOU in the Alliance. As Margaret Meade said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has”.
