ORANGEVALE, CA (MPG) - The Legacy Tree was designed to be a unique and interactive way for Orangevale residents to include their family and be part of Orangevale's history at the museum. Orangevale residents can add their family name or an individual family member’s name for recognition. The name and dates will be beautifully engraved onto an "orange" which will be attached to the Legacy Tree, creating a sense of connection and continuity. The "orange" on the Legacy Tree and a one-page biology if you desire, would serve as a visual representation of the diverse and interconnected histories for the museum residents and visitors. What a wonderful way to engage and involve our community while preserving and celebrating Orangevale’s Legacies.
To become a part of the Legacy Tree please email: [email protected] for a form or visit the museum at 6920 Hazel Ave. Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday 12-4pm. The donation for the Legacy “orange” for the tree is $200. We accept check, cash, or PayPal. This fee helps support and promote community engagement and historical preservation within the museum for the Orangevale community.

With new exhibits at the Orangevale History Museum, you need to visit even if you have been
there before. New exhibits include “War Time in the Vale” which include stories of a few of the
men who serviced from Orangevale and a display on the family contributions to the wars.
Are you familiar with the Sunrise Mall? If so, you will enjoy the story and pictures of the mall and the early stores. There is a second history encounter with information on California and the Orangevale area.
The screens are interactive for you to view numerous stories.
We are expanding the business days to Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays each week from 12 pm to 4pm. Students are welcome, so please stop by after school one day. Docents are always available to add to your museum experience.
