FAIR OAKS, CA (MPG) - Family and friends of long-time Fair Oaks resident, Penny Howard, honored her memory at a special bench dedication on May 8 at the Fair Oaks Brew Pub. The restaurant was one of Penny’s favorite local watering holes. On behalf of the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, Fair Oaks Brew Pub and Penny’s family, thank you to everyone who attended the ceremony and supported the new permanent bench installation located in front of the restaurant.

Join us on Thursday, June 27, as we kick off summer with the first Concerts in the Park performance of the year. Local band, Ideateam, will lead the line-up. Other concert dates are July 25 and Aug. 22. Showtimes are 8 to 10 p.m. at Fair Oaks Park on the softball field (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd). Gates open at 7:30 p.m. Concerts in the Park is free and presented by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce, the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, and the Fair Oaks Foundation for Leisure and the Arts. Also returning to Fair Oaks Park next month is everyone’s favorite Classic Car Show and Food Truck Mania. View some classic cruisers and meet the owners while enjoying food and snacks from popular local food trucks. Sponsored by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, the event is free and open from 5 to 8 p.m.

June 20 – Fair Oaks Chamber Luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Divided Sky Tavern (4894 San Juan Ave.). Mix and mingle with your chamber friends at next month’s luncheon at Divided Sky Tavern. Pre-registration is required.

June 27 – Concerts in the Park, 8 to 10 p.m., Fair Oaks Park (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd.). Everyone is invited to the first of three summer concerts. Gates open at 7:30 p.m.
