FAIR OAKS, CA (MPG) - Get ready to put on your blue suede shoes and come to this summer’s final Concerts in the Park performance on Thursday, Aug. 22, featuring entertainment from Jim Anderson and the Rebels.

Based out of Manteca, the band is considered by fans as “the most authentic Elvis tribute band to date.”

Anderson’s concerts typically sell out. But you can see Anderson and his band perform for free from 8 to 10 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Fair Oaks Park Softball Field, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. Remember, no glass or dogs are allowed on the field. Aug. 1 – Classic Car Meetup, 5 to 8 p.m., Fair Oaks Park, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. Don’t miss a fun family night with classic cars, music and food from local food trucks. Sponsored by the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce and the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District, this event occurs through summer on the first Thursday of each month.

Aug. 2 – Chamber Power Lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Divided Sky Tavern, 4894 San Juan Ave., Fair Oaks. Network with members from five area chambers: Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Orangevale and Rancho Cordova. Pre-registration is required.

Aug. 3 – Harvest Day 2024, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fair Oaks Horticulture Center, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. This annual event is hosted by the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardeners of Sacramento County. Attendance is free. Bring cash or checks for merchant sales.

Aug. 22 – Concerts in the Park, 8 to 10 p.m., Fair Oaks Park Softball Field, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. This is a free event. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. No glass or dogs are allowed. Visit fairoakschamber.com for park rules.

Aug. 23 – Comedy Under the Stars, 8:30 to 10 p.m. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. at Fair Oaks Park Softball Field, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. Join the Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District and Laughs Unlimited for a night of laughs this summer. Tuesdays - Fair Oaks Farmer’s Market Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fair Oaks Park, 11549 Fair Oaks Blvd. Shop for freshly picked produce and support your local farmers. The market is open every Tuesday, rain or shine.
