SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – The American River Parkway Foundation’s (Parkway Foundation) Spring Clean-Up is taking place Saturday, April 18. Join hundreds of other volunteers as they remove trash, pull invasive plants, lay mulch, paint picnic tables and beautify the 4,800-acre American River Parkway. In addition, a construction team will be replacing the roof on the Cottonwood Gazebo at William B. Pond Park.

The Spring Clean-Up will take place in seven locations along the Parkway: Ancil Hoffman Park, Howe Avenue, Sunrise Recreation Area, Cottonwood Gazebo, Discovery Park, River Bend Park and Watt Avenue River Access.

“The American River Parkway is a true urban jewel. The American River Parkway Foundation is able to accomplish what we do on the Parkway because of our volunteers,” said Dianna Poggetto, Parkway Foundation executive director. “Thank you to the businesses, groups, families and individuals that will be dedicating part of their Saturday to make the Spring Clean-Up a success.”
