FAIR OAKS, CA (MPG) - This Friday, Oct. 9th, “John Lennon's Birthday Bash” concert will be held at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre in the Fair Oaks Village.

The Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy (SacPrep) will perform “A Hard Day’s Night” in its entirety live, along with some of Lennon's most iconic songs.

The SacPrep Beatles Guitar Project, made up of about 40 students performing classic Beatles albums, has a reputation for authentic performances of complete Beatles albums.

“We have gone to all their concerts,” said Eileen Miller, a Carmichael resident. “Theirs is by far the most enjoyable Beatles shows I've ever seen!”

There are still some tickets available through the Fair Oaks Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre website, but they do expect a sellout according to a Fair Oaks Park district employee.

“It’s possible that walkup attendees could be disappointed," said Ben McClara, director and president of the non-profit music academy. “They can always hang around and sing along in the park!”

“This is a concert AND a birthday party!!” said another SacPrep supporter. “I’m really looking forward to it! I’m bringing my grandkids this time.”
